Why Express Entry?

Express Entry is the fastest option for permanent residence in Canada at current, with a processing time averaging just four months. It follows a 2-step process.   1. Skills Transferability FactorsThe maximum points that you would get for age in CRS score is 110 or 100, that depends on if you apply alone or with a partner. This number plays a key role as cut-off for receiving an ITA in the past months has lingered around the 430 mark. On the other side, age is not the only factor where you may fetch up serious points. In the Skills Transferability Factors portion, other experience can also be used for an applicant to gain back those points. For instance, the combined experience of two or more post-secondary degrees with a CLB level 9 gives you 50 points. Or 3 or more years of foreign work experience, with a CLB level 9 merits 50 more points. When you witness a small increase of a point or two in the language portion, it can drastically increase your overall CRS score. 
  1. Job Offer On the other side, a job offer is not mandatory for immigration under Express Entry, however receiving a job offer from a Canadian employer will guarantee you between 50-200 additional CRS points. The variance in points is based on what kind of occupation you are offered.
  1. Provincial Nominee Program (PNPs)

Each of the provinces has their own immigration programs called PNP’s. Through PNP nomination, an applicant can claim 600 points towards their CRS score. 600 points would make your application extremely competitive as the cut-off has been steadily staying in the 400 range.
